Built in 1889, and known as the Dr. Frank and Fanny Allen Latimer house the property is a recognized Michigan Historic Site, The Inn at Ludington Bed and Breakfast is a recipient of the local historical society's award for replicate restoration. The layout of the old doctor's mansion is ideal as a B&B with the Innkeeper quarters located in the old servants quarters away from the main part of the house and the guest areas. It has been a B&B here for over 35 years. Breakfast consists of quiche, sausage potato egg bake, bacon, sauted mushrooms, oatmeal, cereal, fresh bread, cinnamon rolls or muffins, fresh cut fruit, yogurt and, we always offer Gluten Free alternatives and vegetarian options. Located less than a mile from the SS Badger Michigan-Wisconsin carferry dock we offer a 6:45 AM full breakfast in the ferry season to get our ferry departing guests fed and ready to get to the dock in time for departure. Guests on a more leisurely schedule can choose to eat breakfast at 8 or 9 AM.
